Today’s youth are our future and tomorrow’s leaders. Our Club is involved with young people in a number of areas, through both Australia-wide Rotary programmes, and local projects.
The National Youth Science forum is an annual event which aims at nurturing interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in enthusiastic grade 12 students. Held at the Australian National University, this unique opportunity allows students to be exposed to world leading research, state of the art facilities and like-minded students. Rotary is a founding partner of the National Youth Science Forum and students are encouraged to apply to their local Rotary Club if they are interested in attending the forum.
The Club has jointly funded the Artist in Residence programme with Mt Crosby School for the last 20 years. An art specialist is engaged to work with the year 5 students on an art project. The resulting installations are displayed around the school grounds.
